Why
I want to be governor of Oyo State – Tolulope Adedoyin
Deacon
Adedoyin Tolulope, Oyo APA Governorship candidate
has opened up on his ambition to run for governorship in the 2019 general
election, as well as his reasons for believing he will be a good governor if
elected into power.
Deacon Adedoyin
Tolulope, one of the 37 governorship candidates who will be battling for the
number one sit in the state come 2019, currently the governorship candidate of
the African Peoples Alliance (APA) has said his intent to run for office is to rescue
the people of the pacesetter state from the bondage and poverty Governor Abiola
Ajimobi and his political party APC put them in over seven years ago.
APA Governorship
Candidate gave this insight on why he wants to become the next governor of the
state during an emergency meeting summoned by the state executives of the party
yesterday at the party Secretariat in Onireke, Ibadan.
Adedoyin, while
lamenting on the slow level of developments in the state under Governor Abiola
Ajimobi and his party APC despite being called a pace-setter state, said his
government will focus on growing the state economy, agriculture, tourism
infrastructure, arts and culture, education, health care, youth and women
empowerment and security if elected governor.
The financial Secretary
of the Conference of Nigeria Political Party (CNPP) in the state further reiterated
that the current state of affairs in Oyo State does not require an untested or
a tenderfoot who would again use the state as research laboratory for
governance like what is going on at the moment.
He finally warned Oyo state
citizens about the inherent dangers in making the wrong choice again, saying:
“One wrong choice and we will suffer another four years”.
